Labor Lyceum Plaque Presentation

May 22, 2013 @ 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM

On May 22, Heritage Toronto will present a plaque to commemorate the historic Labor Lyceum, as part of Jewish Heritage Month celebrations.

The Labor Lyceum was the centre of labour activity for Jewish garment workers for over forty years. The Labor Lyceum also served as an important cultural centre for various Jewish societies and fraternal organizations. It hosted a range of activities from lectures and rallies to dances, plays, and concerts.

Following the plaque presentation, a guided walking tour, A Sense of Spadina: Historic Jewish Toronto, will leave from the site.
